We accept kids ages 5 to 15 and the kids may join any of the groups below if they believe that they are in that ability level.
This group will be best for kids without much outdoor play experience. Activities will be a maximum of ½ to 1km away from the drop off location so minimal physical ability is needed. In this group the kids will be free to create their own games and choose what activities to do however there will be some encouragement from the facilitator. Activities in this group will mainly consist of short adventure hikes that stop regularly for the kids to play games in the natural surroundings that include forests, hills and shallow creeks.
Green

Blue
This group will be best for kids who have some experience in outdoor play and are capable of hiking between 2 and 4km. Activities will normally consist of various adventure hikes or scrambles along the beach that lead to one of many natural play areas. In this group the kids are free to create their own games and make up their own activities without much input from the facilitator. At times during the session the facilitator may show the kids some outdoor skills that may be relevant to their chosen game or activity and also offer the odd suggestion.

Red
This group will be best for kids who are confident playing outdoors and are capable of hiking between 4 and 6km. Activities will normally consist of an adventure hike or scramble along the beach that leads to one of many natural play areas. In this group the facilitator will provide opportunities to learn many outdoor skills including, shelter construction, food gathering, water collection, navigation, first aid and water rescue. The kids will be free to practice their knowledge of the outdoors in imaginative and role playing games.
